Village announces Preservation and Cavalcade of Pride winners

The pandemic could have wiped out Oak Park’s annual recognition of residence and business enterprise owners in 2020, but in 2021, the Historic Preservation and Cavalcade of Satisfaction Awards have been back.

Announced on March 15, the 2021 winners include things like 16 homes, multifamily properties, gardens and corporations which were being awarded Cavalcade of Satisfaction Awards by the Oak Park Community Structure Commission. Eight houses and properties had been acknowledged by the Oak Park Historic Preservation Fee with Historic Preservation Awards.

Noel Weidner, chair of the Historic Preservation Fee, says the Historic Preservation Awards are a way to rejoice good stewardship and householders who consider the time to do renovations properly.
