A survey of the entire LE postcode area found that Falmouth Road in Rowlatts Hill came second and Rutland Street in the city centre was the third cheapest.

Other cheap streets included Hinckley Road in Leicester, where the average sale price was £67,500, Charnwood Court off London Road in Leicester and Vicarage Court in Earl Shilton.
Apart from Vicarage Court, the only other cheap street outside the city was Brendon Close in Shepshed, where five properties have sold since 2016 with an average asking price of £72,290.
The data, compiled by the Property Solvers estate agent, used selling prices for the past five years for homes of all sizes ranging from bedsits to mansions.
The information from the Land Registry since early 2016 showed that Warren Hill near Bradgate Park was the most expensive in terms of the average sale price at just under £1.6 million.
That was followed by Stamford Road in Kirby Muxloe, which is a leafy winding road dotted with expensive mansions that, over the past five years, have sold for an average of £1.28 million.
Swithland Lane in Rothley was a close third, with the four properties that changed hands since 2016 going for about £1.22 million.
The top 10 of most expensive streets in Leicestershire all had average sale prices over the one million mark.
The others in the top 10 were St Marys Close in Edith Weston, Weston Road in Edith Weston, Laughton in Lutterworth, Paradise Lane in Old Dalby, Home Court in Empingham, Knighton Road in Leicester and Church Street in North Kilworth.
Commenting on how the lists were calculated, Property Solvers co-founder Ruban Selvanayagam said: “To keep the data less skewed, we only ranked the streets that had over three sales.
“It’s therefore worth noting that, in recent years, a property on Bull Brigg Lane in Whitwell sold for £2,510,000 and, at the other end of the market, there were properties that sold for £46,000 and under on Barnard Close and Munnings Close in Leicester and Polden Close in Shepshed.”
