SELINSGROVE — A Selinsgrove pair escaped a fire that tore through their Linda Lane residence in Selinsgrove Monday evening.

Dauntless Hook & Ladder Fire Organization obtained the fire phone at 6:30 p.m. and responded to 5 Linda Lane the place the attached garage on the ranch-model home was completely engulfed, assistant hearth chief Jason Kaufman mentioned.

The couple, recognized by a neighbor as Joe and Barbara McElroy, ended up ready to get out properly, he claimed.

Two vehicles in the garage and a 3rd parked in the driveway were burned by the flames and the residence sustained “severe” problems, Kaufman stated.

An adjacent home at 3 Linda Lane also sustained exterior destruction from the flames, he mentioned.

Neighbor Joanne Lauer arrived household moments ahead of the fireplace was reported.
