A four-bedroom, three-bathroom home that’s hit the real estate market in Conestoga, Pennsylvania, has a popular Facebook real estate page reeling — in a good way.
The house, which is listed for $349,900, may look perfectly average on the outside, with its souring trees and small creek, but on the inside, it’s “a starry night” every day.
Judging by the photos of the 2,653-square-foot residence, there is a mural of Vincent van Gogh’s famous “Starry Night” painting from 1889 on a few of the interior walls.
Other rooms, like a bathroom and the bedrooms, have walls that are also splashed with vivid colors and flow with the van Gogh theme.
Features, according to the listing on Zillow.com, include:
-
Wrap around porch
-
Vaulted ceilings
-
Walk-in pantry
-
Walk-in closets
-
Bonus room
-
New water heater
The house sits on 5.1 acres, which has a small creek and a fenced-in horse pasture and barn.
Fans of Zillow Gone Wild fell in love with not only the mural, but the property itself.
“You have to respect a person who can find a way to stick this closely to their theme,” one person said. “It’s not for me, but it looks loved — and that’s what a home should be.”
“I absolutely love what they did to the inside of the house,” another person gushed. “The mural, the gold ceilings to compliment the blue dining room, the blue basin sinks, all of it….but, did they forget there is an outside to that house. It needs some major TLC. They just need to give it some love because clearly they have the skills to make it stunning.”
“I love the stained glass, tin ceiling tiles, and the paintings but…I probably would have kept the murals to only one room and maybe the guest room,” another said.
“This is gorgeous!” one person wrote. “They need to make the buyers sign something that says they won’t paint over the murals.”
“As somebody who is constantly doubting my decorating ability, and wishing I could get my house just so… It comforts me to know that somebody got their house exactly the way they wanted it,” one person observed.
“I’d keep the murals. I dig them,” another commented.
“I honestly love this house,” one person said. “Some new paint on the outside and it would be great. That price is a steal.”
“Well, that was a wild ride from start to finish,” another commented. “Totally looks like an old-timey wild west street outside…then it’s like the inside has been designed by the love child of Grizzly Adams and Donatella Versace.”
Conestoga is about 71 miles west of Philadelphia.
