Caroline Walls’ new exhibition ‘MotherLover’ at Sydney’s Jerico Modern is her most private assortment to date, discovering the ordinariness and extraordinariness of everyday ordeals.
The show is a significant departure from the summary, gestural will work Caroline has exhibited in the past—instead working with oil paint and drawing on figuration, portraiture and continue to existence to capture small times in time.
‘I was interested in capturing these silent, unseen times in my marriage and motherhood that are normally ignored or overlooked about, but are essentially imbued with tenderness and attractiveness,’ states the New Zealand-born, Melbourne-dependent artist.
