‘Bachelor’ stars Sean Lowe, Catherine Giudici selling University Park house

Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici Lowe, former stars of ABC’s The Bachelor, are selling their five-bedroom home in University Park for $5 million.

According to tax records, the couple purchased the home in April 2022. Property history information shows that the home was listed again about a month after the purchase. The home was also previously owned by former Dallas Stars player Shawn Horcoff from 2013 to 2015, according to property records.

Listing agent Rogers Healy called the home’s design “French transitional.” The home has five bedrooms, five bathrooms and two half-bathrooms in its 6,068 square feet. The home was built in 2012, and Healy said it was updated by the previous owners.

Design features like stone accents on the walls, wood beams and a statement sliding door are coupled with a neutral color palette and classic elements like arched doorways and detailed fireplaces.

The home’s dining room and living room sit on opposite sides of the foyer. In the living room, there’s a fireplace with a detailed mantle and large windows along two sides of the space. The dining room also has large windows and an arched doorway that leads to the butler’s pantry. The butler’s pantry connects the dining room to the kitchen and offers extra storage.

“It’s an entertainer’s house,” Healy said. “The flow is great. There’s still some privacy, but the rooms are spacious and relatively open.”

The French transitional design elements are on display in the open-concept kitchen, dining and family room with details like wood beams on the ceiling and a statement hood over the stove and oven range. The kitchen has white cabinets and countertops with stainless steel appliances and a large island with seating. A smaller dining area is located between the kitchen and the family room. On one side of the dining area, a large cabinet goes all the way up to the ceiling. Glass panes on the cabinet doors make it ideal for displaying dishware collections.

The family room has windows on three sides and a fireplace on one end. Filled with natural light, the room offers a more casual area for family hangouts or for entertaining. The open-concept living, kitchen and dining area can also easily access the back patio through French doors. The patio has a fireplace and living space on one end and an outdoor kitchen with a grill on the opposite end.

The primary suite is located on the second floor of the home. The bedroom is spacious, with enough room for a sitting area, and the en suite bathroom has dual sinks, a jetted bathtub and a separate shower.

The home is three levels and has four more bedrooms, a game room and an exercise room on its second and third floors. Each has an en suite bathroom. Healy said the home has space for an elevator, should future owners want to add one.

Outside, the home has a pool and a spa in the backyard.

The home at 3704 Wentwood Drive is listed by Rogers Healy of Rogers Healy and Associates Real Estate.
